Thursday nights all through the year. Classes 7.45pm till 8.45pm then social dancing till 11pm.
Where
The Railway Institute, Bangor. We dance in the upstairs hall, which has a large dancefloor and seating round the edge. You are welcome to get drinks from the bar downstairs.
Levels
- Beginners
- First steps in salsa. Basic footwork and turns plus a cross body lead.
- Improvers
- Cuddles onwards. Taking you from basic turns to basic turn patterns.
Teaching
Teaching is done on a voluntary basis by the more experienced dancers. There is no formal course so feel free to join us any week. Two (or sometimes three) classes run concurrently, beginners at the near end of the hall.
The teachers at Salsa Bangor are not trained professionals just keen dancers who want to help others get started.

Left to right - John, Anna, James, Mike and Kath
Cost
£2 buys you a class and social dancing afterwards. There is no need to sign up for blocks of lessons, just pay when you come.
Style
Most of the intermediate dancers at Bangor have a Cuban bias but all styles are very welcome.
